Manuel Jimenez Junquera (known locally as Manuel the poor) 7-years of age was resting along with other young friends of the same age and all of them goat herders, in the shade of some large trees at a small farm known as “Los Majales” they were tending to a group of goats when suddenly the animals jumped up simultaneously as if startled by something and ran towards a nearby wooded area. Manuel Jimenez stood up and watched a shiny object flying at a very low altitude, passing directly over the startled group of boys. The boys felt heat as the craft flew low over them and a very strong gusty wind apparently emanating directly from under the object. The craft shone like glass or stainless steel descended and landed at about 30 meters away from the boys. It landed on top a natural rock and slate platform. As it touched the ground it sending up a large cloud of dust at the same time emitting an “irritating whistling sound”. Afraid the boys flung themselves to the ground, but at the same time very curious.

The object was shaped like “two soup plates connected together” and it was about 15 to 20 meters in diameter on top it was surmounted by a conical dome topped off with what appeared to be an antenna. Around its perimeter there were blinking lights, red, green, and yellow in color, distributed placed in pares all along its circumference, and right below these there was what looked like a “strip of light” that also circle the object’s perimeter. Suddenly a door on the hull of the object opened and a tall human-like figure came out, he was wearing a suit similar to an “armor suit”. On the front he had from his forehead down to his waist he was covered in “blue horizontal lines” that covered his face, chest, and part of the stomach area. He was also wearing a very wide belt and what appeared to be two “suspenders” which came down from his shoulders to the belt. On his back he had a sort of bag from which a very long and thin antenna jutted out.

Seconds later a second figure exited the craft. This one was shorter and heavier set but wearing exactly the same as the first one. When they moved around, they did it without bending their knees or bending their arms. They walked “as if their bodies were encased in a cast”. The color of their suits was shiny green. The whistling sound suddenly stopped and there was a strange silence in the area, “even the crickets stopped their chirping”. At the same time both figures stopped and grabbing a sort of case located on their right side, next to the belt, and in a simultaneous motion they both took out something resembling a “pistol” but which gave off bright flashes of light and headed towards a nearby hut located about 50 meters away from the landing area, where there were usually hogs and goats penned in. However, they only made it half way to the hut. When they walked, they always maintained their arms rigid on their sides. The whole time the pistol-like implement emitted flashes of bright light. The taller entity then placed the “pistol” back in the case, without actually looking what he was doing. The other shorter figure kept the “pistol” out, and always emitting bright flashes of light. After about 20 steps they both stopped and then “turned on their heels” and walked back the same way they had come, without turning their heads. At this time, the boys were able to obtain a better look at the entities. On their heads they wore helmets and the area where the eyes should had been the entities had two round dark holes. The rest of their bodies was completely covered by the greenish armor-like suit.

Closer to the object the tall entity again grabbed the “pistol” from out of its case, extended its arm and pointed the object at a yellow light that was now visible where the door on the object had opened and had immediately closed. Instantly the door opened again and both entities then re-entered the object. In seconds, the object lifted up in the air again creating a loud dusty cloud of debris. It stopped and then at about 10 to 20 meters in altitude and headed towards the hut, flying directly over it, and spinning on itself it disappeared towards the west, quickly disappearing from sight.

The encounter had lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. The sky had been clear, and the sun was out. The boys immediately went to the head goat herder, a man named Francisco, 80, and told them what they had seen. The next day he accompanied them to the location of the incident. There on the natural rock formation they found a hole on the rock and a black stain exactly on the spot where the object had landed and a nearby berry tree was “half-discolored” the other half green. Years later in July 1980 at the same exact spot of the landing two more holes were found, both were perfectly round, The section of the berry tree which was farther away from the object was healthy and green, but the other half which had been closer to the object was dry and brittle and lacking leaves.
