A motorist in Virginia nearly stopped in their tracks when they spotted a mystifying UFO moving across the sky. The peculiar sighting, submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center, occurred on Sunday morning as the witness was driving in the suburban community of Midlothian. "I happened to notice a shiny object in the sky," they recalled, "at first briefly ignoring it, I quickly did a double-take and realized it did not appear to be an animal, aircraft, or anything else that I would commonly observe." The movement of the UFO was particularly perplexing to the witness as it was unlike any "other airborne objects," such as planes, drones, or balloons, that they had previously seen.

The sighting was so compelling that the motorist "quickly pulled over" so that they could get a better look at the object that appeared to be a metallic sphere or cube, depending on the angle at which it was observed. The witness also managed to capture the strange scene with their cell phone, providing a pair of videos (seen above) to go along with their intriguing account. To their credit, the driver dutifully checked a flight tracking app to see if it might offer some explanation for the UFO, but found that there was nothing in the area that could account for the curious object.
