Watch: Trail camera films ghost wolf in Washington State?

A weird trail camera video from Washington state shows an eerie mist passing through a forest, mesmerizing a group of deer and leaving the property wondering if the anomaly was a ghost wolf. The strange scene was reportedly filmed in late November on a device deployed by Marco McDewey on his land near the city of Newport. In the video, seen above, three deer foraging for food suddenly stop and turn to look at a nebulous white form that manifests nearby. The notoriously skittish creatures remain largely frozen in place as they watch the anomaly pass through the woods a few feet away before presumably disappearing into the darkness.

Marveling at the mysterious mist that seemingly captivated the creatures, McDewey mused that "I'm thinking it's a wolf spirit guarding my property." While that could be the case, more skeptical observers have understandably offered some possible prosaic explanations for the anomaly. Specifically, they argue, the perceived apparition may simply be a meteorological effect, an insect flying close to the device, or some kind of camera glitch. That said, it would certainly appear that the anomaly was physically present near the deer, given how they reacted to it being nearby. What do you think McDewey's trail camera filmed?
