Watch: Security camera films legendary 'ghost horseman' riding down Mexican street?

A security camera in Mexico captured eerie footage of what some believe to be a legendary 'ghost horseman,' known as El Charro Negro, riding down a city street. According to a local media report, the spooky scene unfolded at around 1 AM last Tuesday in the city of Tetecala. In the footage, which overlooks a quiet street, the tranquility of the early morning hour is suddenly pierced by the sound of approaching hoof beats. As the noise grows louder, a transparent figure riding a similarly ghostly horse seemingly emerges from the shadows and passes beneath the camera before vanishing from sight.

Since being posted online, the spine-chilling video has spread like wildfire on social media in Mexico with just the original post amassing nearly five million views in the last week and spawning all manner of theories as to what the security camera captured that night. Some viewers suggested that the mysterious stranger was El Charro Negro, a folkloric black-clad horseman said to encounter individuals with an offer of riches in exchange for their souls. Other observers offered a similar interpretation, positing that the peculiar figure was the devil himself. That said, more skeptical individuals argue that the 'spirit' was simply a person riding a horse. What do you make of the mystifying footage? Weigh in with your thoughts at the C2C Facebook page.
