Watch: Odd triangular UFO spotted hovering over Salt Lake City

A bewildered witness in Utah captured footage of a mysterious triangular object hovering over Salt Lake City for several minutes. The puzzling sighting reportedly occurred last September, though video of the peculiar event only popped up online this week by way of several YouTube channels devoted to aerial anomalies. According to the man who saw the strangely shaped UFO, he was in the suburb of Draper when he noticed the peculiar UFO off in the distance "just above the high rise buildings in downtown Salt Lake." Estimating that the object was approximately 1,250 to 1,500 feet in the sky, the man observed that the triangular anomaly initially appeared to be stationary, then "proceeded to slowly move north."

Remarkably, it would seem that the sighting lasted a fair amount of time as the witness indicated that he was able to film the object for several minutes. In the man's footage, he can be heard marveling that "it's not a plane, not a helicopter. It looks like a triangular object just floating there." To that end, setting aside the extraterrestrial hypothesis, prosaic suggestions for what the puzzling anomaly might have included a sizeable kite, a drone, an errant balloon or perhaps some kind of clandestine military craft being flown over the city. That said, as of now, the nature of the odd object remains a mystery. What do you think the witness caught on film? Share your theory with us at the C2C Facebook page.
