Watch: Multiple witnesses film wondrous UFOs over Chinese city

Several spellbound residents of a Chinese city captured footage of two strings of mysterious lights that streaked through the night sky. The strange mass sighting reportedly occurred on Monday evening in the community of Zhangzhou. To the astonishment of the many witnesses who caught sight of the weird event, the peaceful night sky was suddenly pierced by two lines of glowing orbs. As seen in the collection above, multiple observers managed to film the curious UFOs from perspectives across the city. Many subsequently shared their footage online where the videos spread like wildfire on Chinese social media.

When later asked about the UFOs, local officials claimed they knew nothing about the incident. While their perceived secrecy has led some to speculate that the lights were part of a military exercise, others interpreted the non-answer as a possible sign that the objects were otherworldly. In response to the vacuum of information from officialdom, one Chinese social media sounded remarkably similar to American UFO buffs as they complained that "whenever unidentified flying objects appear in China, authorities either claim ignorance or say an investigation is underway, only for the matter to be quietly dropped."
