The latest possible 'monster' sighting by way of the Loch Ness webcam features a peculiar anomaly surfacing and then swiftly moving across the water before vanishing from view. Indefatigable livestream viewer Eoin O’Faodhagain reportedly captured the intriguing moment earlier this month while watching from his home in Ireland. The virtual monster hunter was delighted when the peaceful waters of Loch Ness were suddenly pierced by something that popped up beneath the surface. Observing that it "initially looked like a large fish jumping," O’Faodhagain cast aside that assessment when it the object seemingly swam across the water "like a torpedo."

Looking back on the sighting, O’Faodhagain mused that "my heart jumped. I said to myself, 'this is nothing ordinary, on the contrary, this is something you don't see every day.'" To that end, while the fastidious webcam watcher has amassed a considerable number of virtual sightings over the years, this particular incident was rather unique by virtue of the speed displayed by the creature. Dismissing the possibility that the oddity was a bird or something similarly prosaic such as an otter or an eel, O’Faodhagain posited that the anomaly was the site's legendary 'monster' likely in pursuit of prey.
