A peculiar piece of footage circulating online shows a sizeable and seemingly bipedal creature that some have suggested could be the infamous 'dog man' cryptid. The curious video, which appears to have been captured by a trailcam, was posted late last week by the TikTok account 'bigfootanonymous' and, in keeping with that enigmatic name, the origin and nature of the strange sighting are, unfortunately, not revealed. Be that as it may, the footage is undeniably odd by virtue of the mysterious beast at the center of the scene.

In the video, which consists of two separate segments, a dark form can initially be seen scrambling in the background in a manner somewhat similar to a chimp running on all fours. The second half of the footage shows a creature, ostensibly the same one seen in the first part, lingering close to the camera. Although it is rather hard to decipher, as so many mystery creature videos are, the puzzling beast sports a lighter face that seems to have a snout.

That particular detail has led many viewers to suggest that the oddity is, in fact, a bipedal canine cryptid or 'dog man,' while others have posited that the creature could be a Sasquatch. Those two fantastic possibilities aside, skeptical observers argue that the 'beast' is merely a prosaic animal that merely appears mysterious by virtue of the poor quality of the video or, failing that, an elaborate hoax involving someone in a monkey suit.
