Video: Rep. Lauren Boebert's reelection campaign advocates for answers about aliens
The reelection campaign for Representative Lauren Boebert raised eyebrows earlier this week when it sent out an email advocating for the 'powers that be' to reveal what they know about UFOs and aliens. The remarkable missive, which was reportedly distributed on Monday, found the high-profile GOP incumbent from Colorado lamenting that "for decades, our government has shrouded the truth about UFOs in a veil of secrecy." Noting that "strange crafts have been spotted soaring through our skies, defying the laws of physics," Boebert's campaign lambasted the "bureaucrats in Washington" for treating the public as if it were "too naive to handle the facts."
Undoubtedly echoing the thoughts of many UFO witnesses, the email continued, "they tell us we're crazy like we can't see these things flying through the air with our own eyes," before declaring in all caps, "I say enough is enough!" Positing that the public "aren't children to be spoon-fed half-truths or dismissed with vague excuses," Boebert's message argued "we deserve to know what's really going on up there." The email concluded with a link to a website exploring the question of whether or not aliens are real, along with information on how to donate to her reelection campaign. While the colorful email took some political observers by surprise, it is not entirely unexpected, since Boebert has been an active participant in the many Congressional hearings on UFOs held over the past few years.
At one gathering last November, she pressed a panel of witnesses on an array of theories and rumors long bandied about in UFO circles, including the possibility of a secret ET-human hybrid program and underwater alien bases. As such, Boebert's bold missive is in keeping with her interest in the topic and what appears to be an earnest desire to determine the truth about the mysterious phenomenon. To that end, the email also serves as a testament to how the perception of the phenomenon has changed considerably in both the eyes of the public and in Washington, as a sitting member of Congress campaigning on UFO and alien disclosure would be unfathomable not too long ago.
