Video: First UK crop circle of 2025 found, near Sutton Veny, Wiltshire
The 2025 crop circle season is officially underway in the UK as the first formation of the year has been found by researchers. The sizeable design (showcased in the drone video above) was reportedly discovered on Thursday near the village of Sutton Veny in Wiltshire. The formation is believed to depict a Celtic knot with a square rather than a circle at its center. The design has spawned an array of interpretations from researchers, though its ultimate meaning and who created it remain a mystery.
Meanwhile, like many farmers who wake up to find one of the mysterious designs on their property, the owner of the field was said to be "very upset" about the situation due to the "high value" of the crops that were lost. Perhaps hoping to recoup some of that money, he has opened up the spot to visitors, provided they make a small donation and do not stray from the existing tramlines. The appearance of the first formation of 2025 is welcome news to crop circle enthusiasts who had to wait until mid-June for the start of the season last year.
