US Air Force investigates landed 'flying saucer' in Brooksville, Florida
On March 2, 1965, John Frank Reeves experienced an unforgettable encounter with a UFO in Brooksville, Florida. That afternoon, he was hunting snakes in the bush near his home when he noticed a large "flying saucer" perched in a cleft. The ship was impressive and left Reeves paralyzed by surprise.
The UFO was blue-green and purple-red, supported on 4 legs and was about 9 meters in diameter. Reeves walked cautiously toward the ship to get a closer look.
Suddenly, he noticed something moving on the side of the object. Reeves approached slowly and spotted an essentially human entity with a dark tanned face, about five feet and a half tall and dressed in silver-grey canvas material.
He had on white thin gloves and boots. Her eyes were slightly farther away, closer to her ears, and her chin slightly pointy than a normal person.
The creature turned around and began to approach John, removing from his side a small square device, similar to a camera. The creature held the device at chin-high and then pressed a button that caused an extremely bright flash.
Mr Reeves tried to escape, but tripped into a bush and lost his glasses. Lying on the ground, he observed taking the glasses and handing them to him. This unexpected and kind action left Reeves stunned.
The creature then turned around and returned to the ship, entering the object via a ladder located at the bottom. The edge of the UFO began to rotate rapidly counterclockwise, producing a hissing, thundering sound that grew in intensity as the speed of rotation increased. The ladder was quickly retrieved and the four UFO landing legs retreated, preparing the ship for take-off.
With a deafening sound, the UFO began to ascend vertically, leaving behind the stunned observer. Reeves kept an eye on the UFO, watching silently as it disappeared from sight in less than ten seconds, disappearing into the cloudless sky.
After the departure of the UFO, Reeves found at the site many footprints and 4 holes left by the landing gear. There were also two folded sheets of thin paper like tissue that contained messages written in an unknown alphabet.
The day after the sighting, the United States Air Force dispatched a team of investigators to the scene. They met with John Reeves and accompanied him to the site where the UFO had landed.
The Air Force team conducted an on-site investigation, gathering evidence and information about the sighting. They also interviewed Reeves and other witnesses to get more details about the event. However, the case remained a mystery and the origin or nature of the UFO could not be determined.
At the time, Reeves handed over the mysterious papers to Air Force officers for review. However, when the documents were returned, Reeves claimed the Air Force had replaced the originals with forged copies, raising suspicions about possible coverage.
