Characteristics: There were aircraft in the vicinity or aircraft chasing the object.

There were 7-8 round mostly stationary, quick moving lights clustered and performing different formations.

I was traveling southbound over the Whitestone bridge in Queens headed toward Long Island and saw in the western part of the sky 6-8 round very bright objects.

They were stationary in the sky and not moving, then would form a different formation in the blink of an eye.

One was caught moving diagonally as well. They were clustered very close for a period of time.
