The Nguma-Monene of the Congo
This drawing of the nguma-monene was illustrated by David Miller. Cryptozoologist Roy P. Mackal was a devoted researcher when it came to this creature. It is seen in the Motaba River that winds its way through Eastern Cameroon and the Republic of the Congo.

The nguma-monene was described as a reptilian creature that could grow up to 40 feet in length. It had a low riding body with strong legs, brown-grey colored skin, a snake-like head and neck, as well as a forked tongue. The creature notably had a spiny ridge that ran along its spine. Mackal was convinced with the stories, saying plainly that the eyewitnesses knew what they were seeing. He said that there was "no possibility whatsoever that the creature could have been an oversized crocodile".
