Location: Puente De Herrera, Valladolid, Spain

Date: August 16 1970 Time: 1:00 a.m.

A 22 year old domestic employee, C.R., was watching television in the chalet where she worked, located about 300 meters from the Duero River, and right off the National road connecting Madrid and Leon, when she suddenly began to hear a whistling sound, followed by television interference. After unsuccessfully attempting to correct the Television image, she turned the set off, and walked out the garden exit door to ascertain the reason for the TV interference and the source of the whistling sound. She was then surprised to seen a strange object on the path leading to the house, about 30 meters away.

The object was disc-shaped, silvery in color which had landed on three thin leg-like supports. A semi-spherical cupola surmounted the object, which appeared to be made out of glass, almost transparent in nature. The craft was about 4 meters in width, and about 2.5m in height approximately, 60 cm of which was part of the supports. On top of the dome there was a slowly rotating bluish white light, at times dimming but never shutting off. There were other several smaller lights around the edge of the craft.

At about 3-4 meters from the craft the witness noticed the presence of a human-like figure. The figure was about 1.80m in height, wearing a tight-fitting dark outfit, maybe black or Navy blue in color. On its head he wore a tight-fitting cap, the same color as that of the suit. Circling his wrists and ankles was a sort of bracelet, bright white in color, and at waist level he wore a square buckle, also bright white in color. The witness was not able to see any hair due to the presence of the cap, and thought that the face was light colored. The figure stood staring at a small alfalfa parcel, next to the path that led to the house. Moments later the figure walked back to the craft. He walked normally, but using long strides, and moved his arms like normal human beings.

Frightened, the witness went back inside the house and locked the door. After a while the whistling sound increased in intensity, like it was at the beginning of the encounter. Moments later the witness looked out the window and noticed that the man and the object had now disappeared, however, she could still she a uniform glow on the path where the object had landed. In the morning at the site several clear black colored footsteps similar to boot prints were found, on which several oblique lines could be distinguished. During the day only the footsteps were visible, but at night the dim glow was still present. After several days the footsteps and glow disappeared. The whole incident had lasted 5 to 6 minutes.
