Study determines top states for UFO spotting
An interesting new study looking at UFO sightings across America has determined the top states for spotting something from out of this world. Produced by the online gambling hub casino.ca, the enlightening project developed a per capita ranking system using population information and "data from the National UFO Reporting Center, along with digital media coverage" of the phenomenon. The process saw Washington State come out on top with "one reported sighting for every 1,021 residents." Rounding out the top five states for UFO sightings were Oregon, Florida, Delaware, and New York.
Meanwhile, the locations where one is least likely to spot a UFO were, in descending order, Virginia, New Jersey, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, which found itself at the bottom of the list. Since the study emanated from Canada, it also looked at that country's best and worst places for UFO sightings. Taking the top spot on the list was Alberta, with one UFO sighting for every 568 people in the province. Coming in last was Newfoundland and Labrador, where there was one UFO sighting for every 7,451 residents. Check out the complete list of rankings to find out where your state or province landed.
