Spinning top UFO with red and orange flashing lights and figure inside, Scotland

Location: Cardonald, Glasgow, Lanark, Strathclyde, Scotland

Date: September 9 1972 Time: 4:00 a.m.

The witness, George Gibson, saw an object rise and hover above the road. It came up from the valley and it was about 40 feet wide and 25 feet high. It looked very much like a kid’s spinning top with red and orange lights flashing around the bottom of the object. Also there was a figure leaning on the window looking at the cars below. The object hovered for about five minutes at rooftop height then moved away southeast very fast. There was a slight vibration on the windows in front of Gibson, as if a large truck were passing by. The figure had on a silver suit and had blonde hair. The glow from the object windows was like a train passing by at night.
