Security guard snaps fantastic photo of ghost at Venezuelan hospital?

A security guard at a Venezuelan hospital snapped a fantastic photo of what appears to be a ghost lingering at the end of a hallway. According to a local media report, the chilling picture was taken early Tuesday morning by the unnamed worker as he patrolled the Hospital General del Sur in the city of Maracaibo. In the eerie image, seen below, a white figure with long dark hair over its face seemingly floats in the middle of the otherwise empty corridor.

In something of an indictment of his commitment to providing security for the hospital, it is said that the terrified witness opted to simply snap a picture of the suspected spirit, which had been likened to the vengeful ghost from the film series "The Ring," rather than approach the mysterious stranger. The man subsequently showed the photo to his superiors when they arrived in the morning, which led to the peculiar image being sent to a local media outlet by someone who works at the facility.

Whether the photo shows a genuine ghost is uncertain, of course. Those who believe that is the case note that the hospital is more than 80 years old and, as such, would presumably be home to various spirits who experienced their final moments in the building. That said, more skeptical observers argue that the picture is too good to be true, leaving them to posit that it is probably the product of digital manipulation.
