Part 1: President Richard Nixon’s secret meetings

...  with Huston Plan covert agent Robert Merritt

“When Nixon was being faced with the idea of not getting a pardon, he said, ‘Good. Let them do it. I’ll take down Helms, Ford, and the whole government.’ … He worked on the most important national security secret, which is the UFO file.”

– Roger Stone, Nixon biographer, and Daniel Liszt, Dark Journalist.com

March 2, 2018 Cambridge, Massachusetts – Did President Richard Nixon hand write a letter to the American people about “an advanced being from outer space” working with our government? Then in 1972 after the Watergate break-in that would destroy his administration, did Nixon hide his letter like a time capsule in a secret White House spot known only to his Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and one of his White House spies, Robert Merritt?

First, Another Nixon Letter Concerning UFOs

Let’s go forward a decade after Nixon’s resignation to the summer of 1983. Connecticut police officer Larry Fawcett and I were dinner guests in Los Angeles at the home of Bob and Margaret Emenegger. Larry headed Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS) and was working on a book with UFO investigator Barry Greenwood that would come out in 1984 entitled, Clear Intent: The Government Coverup of the UFO Experience.  The subjects were UFO intrusions at our Minuteman nuclear missile sites and military bases such as RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge in December 1980. I was in Los Angeles working on an hour documentary for Home Box Office with the working title, UFOs: The E. T. Factor.

Larry and I wanted to talk with Bob Emenegger about the same question that would be on the Clear Intent hard cover book:  “What does the government know about UFOs and why won’t it tell us?”

Bob Emenegger was the writer with producer Alan Sandler of a 1974 book and TV documentary entitled, UFOs: Past, Present and Future. The book had a sketch of a non-human and egg-shaped disc that allegedly landed near Holloman AFB in New Mexico on April 25, 1964, in a meeting between non-humans and our military and a scientist.

There was this large nosed being with vertical pupils and ropey headdress that accompanied grey-skinned Extraterrestrial Biological Entities (EBEs) that have pear-shaped heads and large dark brown eyes. See: 4-Part Earthfiles “Taxonomy of Extraterrestrial Biological Entities (EBEs).”

During that 1983 dinner, Bob Emenegger suggested that valuable subjects to study to help understand the UFO phenomenon would be Akkadian, Assyrian and Babylonian histories of ancient Mesopotamia. He also got up from the table and walked to a file cabinet asking Larry and me to join him. Emenegger pulled out a file and showed us a typed letter addressed to Bob from Richard M. Nixon with the embossed White House seal at the top. The handwritten signature was from Nixon. Emenegger pointed out the words “thank you for your discretion on the sensitive matter.”  Bob told us the sensitive matter was the 1974 TV documentary and book, UFOs: Past, Present and Future.

June 1998: More About Nixon from CIA Whistleblower

Fifteen years later in June 1998, I would be on a secret trip to Florida to audiotape a whistleblower I called Kewper Stein, who worked on CIA investigations from 1957 to 1960 about UFOs and E. T.s.   On more than a dozen audiotapes, I recorded Kewper. Eventually in 2008, I produced a 20-part series of Earthfiles reports entitled: “Army/CIA Unit Studied the Real UFO Blue Book Cases.” You can read all of those at my news website Earthfiles.com.

Kewper/Stein said he and his Langley CIA boss, Anthony Barden, personally briefed President Eisenhower and Vice President Richard Nixon about UFOs and ETs in 1958 to 1960, before John F. Kennedy was elected president after Eisenhower. So Nixon was exposed to Top Secret files about UFOs and E. T.s both as Vice President from 1953 to 1961 and later as President from 1969 to 1974. Nixon was the first U. S. President to resign under disgrace after the 1972 Watergate break-in planned and executed by G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt at Nixon’s request.

According to recent testimony by attorney Douglas Caddy, who helped E. Howard Hunt, JFK was assassinated by the CIA because he wanted to open for the world the secret UFO files controlled by the CIA. JFK also wanted to work with Russia in a joint mission to the moon.

Two Years Before Resignation – Secret White House Intelligence Huston Plan

The Huston Plan was a highly classified proposal in President Richard M. Nixon’s 1972 Administration to replace the CIA and FBI with a secret operation to be run from the White House with covert agent Robert Merritt. Robert Merritt is now terminally ill and describes in his own words with Dark Journalist Daniel Liszt three secret meetings he had in June to July 1972 in an underground White House office with President Nixon, to discuss a hidden time capsule “Message to the American People” about UFOs, E.T.s and an “advanced being” working at Area 51, Nevada.

What was not known in the summer of 1972 was that President Nixon had organized a secret White House Intelligence Unit called the “Huston Plan.” Nixon’s goal was to replace the CIA and FBI. He wanted to run intelligence operations on his political enemies and others directly from the White House. One of President Nixon’s hand-picked covert agents at the heart of the Huston Plan was a young man named Robert Merritt.

Huston Plan Covert Agent Robert Merritt

In June to July 1972, Robert Merritt was 28 years old and was working for President Richard Nixon’s secret White House intelligence unit called the “Huston Plan.” Nixon wanted to run the Huston Plan directly from the White House in place of the CIA and FBI. Image provided by Robert Merritt for 2010 biography Watergate Exposed, cover directly below.

Robert Merritt was born in West Virginia on June 27, 1944. So in June 1972, he was only 28 years old — a good looking blond guy hired by Nixon’s Huston Plan to covertly interact with people in Congress and other positions of power in order to photograph and videotape compromising information that President Nixon could use in blackmail for political control. Robert Merritt did his work so well that in the critical time period of June to July 1972, before and after the Watergate break-in, President Nixon held three secret meetings with Merritt deep below the White House, culminating with the third and last meeting after the June 17, 1972, Watergate break-in.

Robert Merritt in 2018 – Fighting Cancer

By January 2018, Robert Merritt had been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. Recently he reached out to attorney Douglas Caddy for help on finding a “time capsule” letter allegedly hidden by Nixon in July 1972 after the Watergate break-in. Caddy put Merritt in touch with Dark Journalist Daniel Liszt.

Merritt told Liszt that in his third secret meting with President Nixon in July 1972 that President Nixon read out loud a Letter to the American People about an “advanced being from somewhere else in our universe, or perhaps even from a different universe,” that the U. S. government had “in protection” and which was teaching  some scientists vast quantities of powerful information about physical laws and an equation that could help all of humanity — or destroy all of humanity.

Recently, Daniel Liszt of Dark Journalist.com called me about Robert Merritt’s confirmation that he worked for Nixon’s highly secret Huston Plan organized around covert intelligence, blackmailing and assassinations. Even today half a century later, thirty-one pages about the Huston Plan are still withheld from de-classification. Here now from Cambridge, Massachusetts to begin tonight’s Nixon time capsule mystery is Dark Journalist’s Daniel Liszt.

Daniel Liszt, Producer and Reporter, Dark Journalist.com, Cambridge, Massachusetts: “President Nixon and his team, in developing the Huston Plan, which was really outside the norms of even intelligence work. The Huston Plan was an organization that was designed to be an intelligence unit for the White House.

Linda Moulton Howe: AND TO REPLACE THE FBI AND THE CIA.

Daniel Liszt: Exactly. And later, there were hearings at the Church Committee to get at what the Huston Plan was all about. There are still 31 pages of classified material about what the Huston Plan was and what it did. Thomas Huston, an assistant counsel to the president, was an absolute, hardcore, conservative right-winger. And he had decided that the country was under siege, and that they needed this. And Huston put together this plan. And they needed these people, these different cutouts, in order to go in there and recruit.

One of the things I noticed when going through that program is that they were looking for young people because they found that most of their resistance around the anti-war demonstrations took place on college campuses. And so Merritt’s age, which was around 20, was perfect for them. When Merritt got recruited into these programs working for the FBI and the ATF and the CIA, they were profiling him all along from the White House thinking, “He’s a good candidate. This is somebody we can use. His assignments are all done quite well, and he’s shown incredible flexibility and an incredible sense of duty.” He would do anything for them. So it’s good to keep that context in my mind when we get to that point of the first meetings with Nixon.

Linda Moulton Howe: HERE NOW IS AN EXCERPT FROM DANIEL LISZT’S EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH PRESIDENT NIXON’S COVERT OPERATIVE, ROBERT MERRITT, TAPED IN LATE JANUARY TO EARLY FEBRUARY 2018 AT MR. MERRITT’S REQUEST AS HE STRUGGLES WITH A TERMINAL ILLNESS.

Robert Merritt was born June 27, 1944, in West Virginia. This image provided by Robert Merritt for his 2010 biography Watergate Exposed, was around 1972, when he was 28-years-old and working as a confidential informant for the Nixon White House intelligence unit, the Huston Plan.

Robert Merritt, 74, West Virginia: “I had no warning. It was 2:30 or 3:00 in the morning. The agent never introduced himself. He just said that he was there to take me to the White House, and that there was someone very big who wanted to see me. He did not say the president. I trusted him because of his appearance.

He did take me to the White House, and I went through into the Executive Office building. At that time in the morning, the hallways were dimly lit. There was a security guard on duty. And we went in through a side door like on the front, down that long corridor to the rear of the building and down a small staircase to an elevator that was only big enough for maybe three people to stand in. And I couldn’t tell if it was moving. There was no dial inside the elevator to show what floor you were on. Nothing. Could have been moving sideways, I could not tell.

But anyway, when it did open up, we came out into several hallways that zig-zag around and finally came to a door that he opened up. The quality of the door, of the wood grain that was the door leading into the White House, and it was. Opened up, and there was a red carpet there, the fancy type of lighting, and it was a very, very long hallway, and at the end of the hallway, this agent opened up the door, and the President of the United States was sitting behind the desk. He immediately got up to come over and shake my hand. He told my escort, he said, ‘Go to the end of the hallway and stand there.’

Daniel Liszt: Now, what did the president say to you?

Robert Merritt: He noticed that I was visibly shaken by this whole thing, and he had told me I was perfectly safe, and it would only just be him to discuss certain things with him, and I was there to assist him and help the country in what he called ‘the national security matter,’ and he mentioned several things about the anti-war demonstrators and people on the far left that he considered to be a danger or upsetting to his administration or to the affairs of our country, which was the Vietnam War that was going on.

He knew everything about me. He had reviewed the reports (Merritt’s covert Huston Plan work for White House), and I was the type of person he was looking for. I reminded him that I was just a hillbilly from West Virginia, and he laughed and said, ‘Listen, you’re none of those things.’ And he said, ‘You’re a very bright, intelligent young man. I had an eye on you because you carried out all those assignments.’

Daniel Liszt: It sounds like he wanted to create a relationship with his main Huston Plan operative, and you became a trusted source for the president at that point.

Robert Merritt: Yes, I did.

Daniel Liszt: It sounds like Nixon expressed his approval in how you carried out your covert assignments.

Robert Merritt: Absolutely. Yes.

Daniel Liszt: So then that first meeting ended. What did he tell you as you left?

Robert Merritt: We would talk again, and he said, ‘Based on who you are, and the secrecy of these meetings,’ which he swore me to secrecy and to loyalty to him and to the country and I would never divulge these meetings to anyone at that time. I never felt comfortable in divulging these meetings ever until now. This is the first time. They’ve never been divulged. I’ve never talked about these meetings before. Never. Never talked about talking one-on-one with the President of the United States. Never. This is the last expose.”

President Nixon’s Calculated Independence from CIA and FBI

Linda Moulton Howe: PART OF ROBERT MERRITT’S LAST EXPOSE IS HOW PRESIDENT NIXON CAME TO TRUST HIM TO WORK AROUND THE CIA, FBI, AND OTHER INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES. AFTER RICHARD M. NIXON WAS FIRST ELECTED U.S. PRESIDENT AND INAUGURATED ON JANUARY 20TH, 1969, HE SOUGHT INDEPENDENCE TO DO WHAT HE WANTED WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT AND THE CIA.

Daniel Liszt: Nixon, when he got into office, he figured out a couple very interesting things. Kissinger’s role was one of them. He needed somebody who he could get around the State Department. OK, that’s one. What’s next?

And he needed to get around the intelligence agencies. How do you do that? You make your own. The only problem with that, of course, is a lot of rules of democracy go out the window. But he figured, ‘Hey, they’re going out the window with the intelligence agencies anyway.’

But I think when we look at Nixon, he is crafty. Incredible intellect that Nixon had, and although he is saddled down in history with Watergate and Vietnam, the openings to China, the openings to Russia, show incredible craftsmanship, and he had also watched Eisenhower in the White House for eight years. He had the training.

He’d also been John F. Kennedy’s fellow congressman there through Congress in the 1940s, so Nixon had incredible knowledge about all these topics. And I do feel that when his entire presidency was being threatened, Roger Stone, who wrote a book relating his life with Nixon, he said, “When Nixon was being faced with the idea of not getting a pardon, he said, ‘Good. Let them do it. I’ll take down Helms, Ford, and the whole government.’” Now, what did he mean by that?

PROBABLY E.T.s.

Yeah. Well, he knew — he knew the secrets, and he worked on the most important national security secret, which is the UFO file.”
