Luminous UFO and winged humanoid on Greek island of Kos
Location: Antimachia Village, Kos Island, Dodecanese, Aegean Sea, Greece
On the night of October 26, 1954, residents of the village of Antimachia, on the Greek island of Kos, reported one of the strangest cases of Greek ufology. The incident occurred during the large wave of sightings recorded in Greece that year.
The first witnesses were Irene Sarris and Socrates Caraliamis. They both noticed a luminous object slowly approaching the village. The artifact had a format similar to a glowing basket and emitted a strong amber light that illuminated part of the fields and nearby buildings.
According to the witnesses, the object kept a constant trajectory for a few moments and then changed direction abruptly, disappearing at high speed without emitting any noise.
Not far away, and practically at the same time as the strange light object crossed the skies of Antimachia, another resident of the village, George Kakamoundis, had an even more frightening experience.
George claimed to have seen a humanoid entity flying over the area in absolute silence. The being had a human appearance, wore gray clothes that were tight to the body, wore large glasses similar to those of aviators, and had huge wings similar to those of the bat. According to the witness, the creature was simply hovering over the village, watching everything from above.
Taken by deep terror, George desperately ran to a nearby church and remained hidden there for a long time, trembling and without the courage to return outside.
The case amazed investigators and residents by bringing together, on the same night and at the same place, two unexplained phenomena, a luminous object crossing the skies and a strange winged humanoid entity seen by another witness a few minutes later.
