Large coppery football-shaped craft and several beings, New South Wales, Australia

Location. Near Glenbrook, New South Wales, Australia

Date: June 1969 Time: midday

Mr. Ray Down of Sydney was hiking through rocky scrubland south of Glenbrook and in from the Nepean River. The time was midday when through the forest he saw a large coppery football-shaped craft resting upon crushed trees and a number of rocks. Ray immediately thought the craft to be a UFO and that it appeared to have had a rough landing. As he began observing cautiously from the scrub, several “beings” between 5 and 6ft tall and appearing to be dressed in skin-tight grey rubber-like garments, appeared from an opening out of view to him on the opposite side of the craft. Most of them held strange metal “tools” in their hands.

Ray then went on to describe a large box-like apparatus with tubes and wires that was removed from the craft and attached to the “nose” and the side visible to him. These appeared to be magnetic. He watched while the crewmen performed various obscure repairs to the craft, which was a good 65ft in length and 25-26ft tall. At some signal everyone returned inside the craft, and it rose with a whirring sound from the ground, and he saw three windows appear as if metal coverings had slid open. These windows were about six feet long by 2ft tall. The craft quickly rose above the trees and disappeared southeast at great speed.

Had several unusual incidents as a young man while living inCuba, such incidents continued as an adult here in the US. Became interested in unusual phenomena and UFOs at a young age but soon directed my focus to the crux of the phenomena, the Humanoids, entities, extraterrestrials, Ufonauts, etc. Began collecting data on such encounters from worldwide sources in the late 80's. Have a current
database of over 18,000 entries which is updated and corrected daily have published four books so far, and expecting more soon.
