Fifth Nessie sighting of 2022 recorded

An individual who lives near Loch Ness is being credited with the fifth official 'monster' sighting of 2022 after spotting something peculiar that was causing a stir out on the water. The unnamed resident reportedly made the observation this past Saturday while standing on a hill overlooking the iconic landmark. What piqued this person's interest was "a wake moving against prevailing currents" which seemingly had no source. Remarkably, the witness watched the weird scene for approximately seven minutes and is said to have captured video of the anomaly, though the footage has seemingly yet to surface online.

No doubt by virtue of the video evidence, of which a still photo can be seen here, the report was accepted as the fifth sighting of the year by the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register. For Nessie fans, the observation may come as something of a relief as the last time the famed creature was possibly spotted was back in April and then it somehow managed to go unnoticed throughout the summer. To that end, one hopes that with temperatures cooling over the next few weeks, perhaps there will be more visitors to the site and, in turn, maybe a few of them will catch a glimpse of the legendary 'monster.'
