Elongated UFO lands, with telepathic extraterrestrials, Turkey
Location: Gumus, Nigde, Cappadocia, Turkey
Date: December 1948 Time: noon
Behcet Ocal, then 15 years old, lived in a small village near Nevsehir, in the Cappadocia region. He led a simple life, far removed from the comforts of modernity. In the village where he grew up, there was no radio, television, or electricity. His days were spent tending a flock of sheep and roaming the area’s vast landscapes.
While tending the animals outside the village, something unusual happened. Behcet heard a strange sound coming from the sky. Looking up, he was frozen by an inexplicable sight. An intense ball of light, brighter than the sun itself, was descending toward him. Suddenly, the brightness faded, and he could make out the object more clearly. It had a metallic appearance and an elongated shape that, to him, resembled a cannonball. The object appeared to be about nine meters long. At that moment, the young man realized he was facing something completely extraordinary. Shortly after, an opening appeared in the side of the object. Three beings emerged from within and descended to the ground: two men and a woman. According to Behcet Ocal’s description, they were humanoids with very large eyes. The two men were hairless, while ethe woman had long hair that reached almost to her heels. They were all wearing something resembling one-piece jumpsuits – an outfit unlike anything Behcet had ever seen. What struck him most as the “lighting device” the three beings wore hanging around their necks. The device extended down to their waists and featured buttons or switches on its panel, along with flashing lights. The boy was frightened, yet he could not tear his eyes away from the scene.

He did not know what to do. He had no concept of aliens or spaceships. All he could think was that these strange-looking people might be from the United States or Russia. But then, communication began. According to Behcet, the beings did not speak to him in the conventional way; instead, they communicated directly with his mind, as if transmitting their words without using a voice. They told him not to be afraid and assured him they would not harm him. They gave no details about where they came from, but mentioned they were from “another world.” As soon as these words entered his mind, he felt an immense sense of peace. As he later said, he had never felt so relaxed in his entire life. One of the beings approached him. Upon contact, the young man felt such a powerful shock that he immediately lost consciousness. Some time later, when his family found him, the creatures were already gone. He was still unconscious and was taken to the hospital with burns and skin irritation, yet no doctor could explain the origin of these injuries. As the days passed, Behcet began to recover from the marks left by the strange encounter, but memories of the inexplicable event remained vivid in his mind. He tried several times to recount what had happened but could not find the right words; it was impossible to explain something so bizarre to the people of his small town.
Then on a quiet night, something even more extraordinary occurred. A luminous surface began to appear in the air before him, like a screen suspended right in front of his eyes. Star maps and planetary systems appeared; lines of light connected various points, forming routes or trajectories. The impression he received was that the universe contained countless inhabited systems and that the distances between them could be traversed using technologies far beyond human knowledge. According to his account, these communications were not lengthy conversations involving questions and answers. They were more like a sequence of visual and mental lessons, where images and ideas appeared simultaneously – as if someone were showing them to him and explaining them at the same time. When he gave his first newspaper interview in 1977, Behcet presented a star map he claimed to have derived from his visions, showing stars and possible routes between star systems. The case initially sparked the interest of the military and the scientific community but was soon forgotten. He never sought fame or profit, he wrote no books, made no television appearances, and lived a simple life in his hometown. Nevertheless, he remained convinced until the end of his life that he had made contact with another world.
