"Angelo D'Ambros was gathering firewood in the woods near Gallio, Vicenza, Italy, on the morning of November 24, 1978, when he noticed a pair of bizarre entities hovering beside him. He was suddenly horrified to see two strange beings staring at him. The beings were hovering very close to the ground.

The 61-year-old noticed the two 'extremely thin' entities hovering next to him - one of which was approximately four feet tall and the other slightly shorter. He described the slender creatures as having large sunken white eyes and pear-shaped heads with "enormous ears that stood straight up and ended in a point". There were a pair of small fangs protruding from the sides of their mouths, and their skin is was yellowish. They wore "very tight dark overalls" and had disproportionately large hands and feet with "extremely long" fingers and toes.

The smallest of the beings approached Angelo and began to make sudden “sliding” movements around him, never touching the ground. The witness screamed for help and asked who they were, but they only responded with mumbled sounds.

Then his taller companion tried to grab the man's machete. Terrified, he tried to keep his knife out of the creatures' reach, but felt two electric shocks go through his arm. Evidently choosing to fight rather than flee, Angelo attacked the beings with one of the branches he had collected earlier. The two creatures quickly got away from the enraged Italian, he gave chase but lost sight of them. He then came to a clearing where a solid metal disc-shaped craft with a domed top rested on four protruding legs.

He arrived just in time to see a pair of long hands close a small trapdoor in the dome, then the saucer took off silently and at high speed emitting a burst of red flames from its bottom. During the same time, other independent witnesses observed a similar object maneuvering over the area.

António Chiumiento is/was an Italian ufo investigator that received and shared the footage of the "Aviano ufo". Awesome close up footage of a flying disc near the NATO Aviano Air Base and proven to be authentic.
