When a frightened resident in Teresópolis braced himself for looters after devastating floods, he instead witnessed an otherworldly celebration unfolding in the trees around his home. As strange beings mingled with silent soldiers under the full moon, the witness realized he was hosting an “alien party” unlike anything ever reported in Brazil’s UFO history.

As daylight faded on January 12, 2011, a witness in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, heard several noises coming from different directions around his home. At the time, the area had recently experienced severe rainfalls, which added to his anxiety. Fearing that a group of looters was preparing to attack, and feeling alone, he shouted out that there was nothing valuable to take. Later, he learned that military personnel were present and seemed to be preparing the site for what he perceived to be a "party."

He prayed and accepted the possibility of facing his death at the hands of the looters, but as the full moon rose, the visitors became more visible. The witness estimated that there were over a hundred beings "carousing and swinging" in the pine trees on his property. He suddenly felt honored to host an "alien party."

Most of the beings appeared to be human-like, but they varied in size and form. At one point, one of them descended in a bright ball of light, landing about 10 to 20 meters from his kitchen window. This being stood upright in front of two men dressed in military uniforms. The witness guessed that they were trying to communicate through telepathy. They remained in this position for 30 to 60 minutes. The entire district was without electricity, and the darkness made it difficult for him to keep track of time.

He noticed several soldiers well-camouflaged in a bush near his kitchen window. The witness asked them if it was safe for him to go outside and if it would disturb the ongoing event, but he received no answer. Feeling brave, he stepped outside and sat on a rock located about five meters from his kitchen door. At that moment, he noticed that the beings had become shy and paused their swinging in the trees. He then chanted the mantra “OM,” which he believed to be the sound of the universe and one of God’s names. The beings became a little less shy and resumed their activities.

He felt he should return inside so as not to disturb the “party,” which carried on for several hours. Despite feeling safe and honored to host the event, he was unsettled by the military’s apparent indifference toward him, which seemed to be their standard procedure. The following morning, he observed about four or five military personnel trying to erase any trace the visitors might have left, although he noted, "one cannot glue a broken tree."

According to the witness, the event repeated itself the following night.
