In the summer of 1980, beneath the looming slopes of Mt. Ventoux, a young woman living in the ancient grotto village of Vaucluse found herself caught between worlds. What began as a quiet evening by her window turned into a surreal encounter with towering beaked humanoids who claimed to speak telepathically from beyond our solar system, delivering a cryptic message that would haunt her life for decades.

"This incident occurred while the witness was living in Vaucluse, a small village known as ‘the village of the grottoes,’ situated above Vacqueyras near the Dentilles de Montmirail on the slopes of Mt. Ventoux in France. It was a completely isolated area consisting of small stone huts, with some of the lower ones built into the grottoes beneath the houses. The witness lived in an ancient house, believed to date back to 1703, and there was quite a community there at the time. At that time, the witness was a student taking a course in tourism in the rural environment and had already been living there for several years.

In June 1980, she was sleeping with her bedroom window wide open. Before going to bed, she liked to sit by the window in the dark, cooling off in the evening air. On the evening in question, she had settled down by the window when something extraordinary happened. She experienced a sensation that was difficult to define; it felt as though the celestial vault had descended upon her. She distinctly remembers looking at Arcturus when, suddenly, she felt terrible vertigo. She couldn't tell if she was ascending towards the stars or if the stars were descending upon her. All she knew was that there was a brilliant light, and she began to panic. Confused about her situation, she then heard voices.

A brilliant flash of light was followed by voices assuring her, "Don’t be afraid, we are communicating telepathically with you." She gathered her composure and asked, "How do you communicate with me telepathically, since I don’t practice telepathy?" The voice responded, "Don’t worry, relax." At that moment, a sense of peace and calm enveloped her, and she let herself go.

She remained fully conscious, thinking to herself, "You old woman, you are confused or dreaming." She tried to move her eyes to see if they were open or closed, and when she opened them, she found herself still seated by the window. Then, some silhouettes appeared, telling her they were from outside our solar system. They gave her a name that she no longer remembers, which is why she can't recount it. The beings were humanoid and very tall, but one thing she vividly recalls is their facial profile: they had huge beaks and enormous eyes. There were many of these beings, but two of them, in particular, who spoke with her, wore something resembling an Egyptian headdress. They explained that they had been in contact with people on Earth many times and were simultaneously communicating with many others while speaking with her. The beings said they had an important message for her to deliver in two years.

When the encounter concluded, she felt as though she was gently descending, unlike the more violent sensation she had experienced during her initial departure. They said goodbye and asked her to trust them, an impression that has stayed with her ever since. Gradually, the image receded, and she found herself beside the window again, feeling somewhat foolish.

About two years later, while in Sardinia, she experienced something extraordinary: she physically disappeared for two hours without being conscious of it, unaware of what had happened or where she had been. She has also reported other psychic phenomena at various times throughout her life."
