What is physical mediumship?
Physical mediums produce phenomena that everyone present in the room can experience. These phenomena include cold breezes, knockings, table tipping, spirit lights, trumpet movements, scents, voices, transfigurations, apports, and materialisations ranging from hands to full figure and many other similar manifestations. Scott Milligan explains more about physical mediumship and how it can be developed (the video is 5 years old and part of an online course Scott was then running).
A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF THE POWER OF PHYSICAL MEDIUMSHIP
At the time her husband Theodore died on December 23, 1895, May Wright Sewall, a leader in the suffrage movement, considered herself, as well as her husband, “Radical” Unitarians who "felt no certainty of the survival of the separate individual entity.” Her 1920 book, Neither Dead Nor Sleeping explains how her attitude began to change on August 10, 1897. To read about the (mostly physical) phenomena that brought about her change of mind, read more in Michael Tymn's recent blog post "From Skepticism to Convictions of A Spirit World".
