One of the most famous cases in Near-Death Experience research is the case of Maria and the tennis shoe. Kimberly Clark Sharp, MSW, is the founder and president of the Seattle International Association for Near-Death Studies. She explains her direct experience in finding the shoe on the outside ledge of a hospital in the exact place described by a patient who saw it during her near-death experience in 1977.
