Watch: Mysterious boom rocks Tulsa City Council meeting

A meeting of the Tulsa City Council came to a sudden stop when a mysterious boom with no discernible origin rocked the proceedings. According to a local media report, the weird incident occurred on Wednesday evening as residents and officials were debating a sidewalk ordinance. That relatively routine bit of bureaucratic business took an unexpected turn when, as a speaker was arguing against the proposed regulation, a sizeable boom rattled the room, causing understandable concern and confusion among attendees.

The meeting briefly paused as officials and authorities exited the building to find out what had caused the curious event. Eerily, there were no signs of anything outside that could have been responsible for the boom. While those in the room likened the moment to an earthquake, that theory also seemed to fall short, as there was no seismic activity reported at the time of the incident nor any meteorological explanation for the monstrous rattle. What do you think caused the boom that brought the meeting to a halt for several minutes before business resumed? Share your best guess with us at the C2C Facebook page.
