Yesterday, the Syrian government forces broke a three-year ISIS siege of the eastern city of Deir Ezzor.

The SAA Brigadier General Suheil al-Hassan reported to Syrian President Bashar Assad about a successful ground operation to break the siege of the strategically important city.

In turn, the Syrian leader stressed that joint actions of the Syrian army and its allies in Deir Ezzor are an important step towards the liberation of the entire country from terrorists.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani congratulated the Syrian government on the victory.
