Fact vs. fiction: United Nations Security Council
... (Bolivia’s Impending US “Liberation”)
As all-consuming as the western media can appear, particularly in the West, there are many today beginning to call out the lies of the US empire, the humanitarian catastrophes it has created, and the many lives it has ruined, and taken, in the name of “spreading democracy,” and ironically, in the name of saving those very lives. In both the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council, the US put forward an image of a world leader and protector of the innocent; but that image is one made of sand, and quickly begins to fall away when the even the slightest amount of pressure is applied.
However, for some time the world has shied away from applying any such pressure. Yet today, we are seeing a shift in perception toward the truth, as many who were once silent begin to speak up for those unjustly targeted by the US war machine. One such nation was that of Bolivia — and likely now to be the next country all of sudden in dire need of some US “democracy” simply for challenging the dominate US narrative. In other words, for daring to tell the truth in the face of their carefully crafted illusion of lies.
