Recall warns some Celsius energy drink cans accidentally contain alcohol

High Noon has issued a recall after discovering that some of its vodka seltzer drinks were accidentally packaged in Celsius energy drink cans. The mix-up occurred when a packaging supplier mistakenly sent High Noon empty Celsius cans, which were then filled with alcoholic seltzer. The affected cans are labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz Edition.

The mislabeled drinks were distributed in Beach Variety packs shipped to retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23. The cans have a silver top and appear to be energy drinks, but actually contain vodka seltzer.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers who purchased Celsius Astro Vibe drinks during that window should check their packaging carefully. The FDA has posted the recall notice online for reference.
