Ohio legislators sneak removal of religious vaccine exemption into budget bill

Another public health Trojan Horse has been rolled into a bill, this time, in Ohio. From Autism Action Network.

An amendment was made at the last minute to Ohio’s budget bill (HB166) changing ORC3313.671 to include the following language:     "Section 3313.671 (F) Notwithstanding division (B)(4) of this section, a nonpublic school may deny admission to or refuse to enroll a pupil whose parent or guardian declines to have the pupil immunized for reasons of conscience, including religious convictions."     Lines 27053 through 27056 MUST be removed from HB166. This type of language has NO BUSINESS in the budget bill. Any such authorization affecting human, medical, and civil rights MUST allow for an adequate and comprehensive review AND be open to public comment.

PLEASE CALL AND EMAIL TODAY AND TOMORROW BEFORE 1PM EST UNTIL AND ASK THAT THIS SECTION IS REMOVED FROM THE BUDGET LANGUAGE.   EVERY CALL AND EMAIL MESSAGE HELPS!

The bill is now in Conference Committee, where this language may still be removed!  The members of this committee are listed below.  They meet Tuesday at 1pm.

Let’s support our friends in Ohio by flooding these offices with calls!  THANK YOU!!!
