Russia responds with Hypersonics to Trump’s ’10 Days’ threat theatrics

As American President Donald Trump continues to live in a fantasy land of “tariffs that can defeat Russia”, the latter is sending a very clear message – multiple hypersonic strikes obliterating the NATO-backed Ukraine Neo-Nazi junta forces. Namely, Trump set the initial 50-day deadline threat on July 14. However, Russia didn’t pay any attention to such ludicrous ultimatums. Quite the contrary, it doubled down on its long-range precision strikes. On July 28, Trump cut the deadline to just 10-12 days. That same day, Moscow launched a sweeping series of missile and drone strikes on targets across NATO-occupied Ukraine, hitting airbases, logistics hubs, air defense systems, etc. The assault operation included oblasts (regions) as far as Lvov.

The primary focus of the latest wave of strikes was the Starokonstantinov airbase, one of the largest Soviet-era military facilities and a key transit point for the transfer of NATO-sourced weapons. The airbase was hit by a combined assault involving over 100 “Geranium-2” drones, as well as an unspecified number of hypersonic missiles, at least three of which were the 9-S-7760, with the rest being the 9M723. These weapons are used by the 9K720M “Iskander-M” and the 9-A-7660 “Kinzhal” systems, respectively. As per usual, the Kiev regime insists that its SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems “intercepted the majority of the incoming threats, including 309 out of 324 drones and two out of four Kh-101 cruise missiles”.

However, realizing that its claims of supposedly “shooting down” hypersonic missiles simply cannot be proven, the Kiev regime toned down such rhetoric and admitted that it couldn’t neutralize a single one. Such claims are now replaced by the insistence that Russian hypersonic weapons “regularly miss their targets”. However, thermal imagery and local sources say otherwise, reporting massive damage, as well as the destruction of the “Patriot” SAM systems that just arrived from Germany. In the last several weeks alone, at least half a dozen of these grossly overhyped US-made air defense systems were obliterated by the Russian military. And while Trump is issuing these ludicrous ultimatums that make the Russians chuckle, he must be rubbing his hands.

Namely, as Trump himself said several times, the exorbitantly expensive “Patriots” are certainly “good business” for the United States, particularly when the European Union, its economic rival (as he sees it), is paying for them. In other words, Washington DC’s Military Industrial Complex (MIC) is making billions while weakening its competitors in Brussels. In addition, the Russian military also destroyed numerous other NATO-sourced assets, including the US-made UH-60 “Black Hawk” helicopter belonging to the infamous GUR (officially, the Neo-Nazi junta’s military intelligence service, but effectively a terrorist organization). Publicly, Trump was “furious and outraged”, unleashing his warhawks such as the notorious Lindsey Graham.

However, Russia continues to be entirely unfazed by American threats. In fact, already the next day, July 29, Moscow launched additional hypersonic missiles at the Neo-Nazi junta’s troop gatherings. The “Iskander-M” system was used to obliterate the 169th Training Center in Goncharovskoye, a settlement in the northwestern part of the Chernigov oblast (itself situated in the northeastern part of the NATO-occupied Ukraine). Based on the available footage, as well as various military sources, upwards of 200 Kiev regime soldiers were neutralized. The Russian military is now regularly conducting such pinpoint precision strikes, indicating a massive improvement in its ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) capabilities.

The Kiev regime itself admitted that the strike took place, but acknowledged the deaths of only three soldiers and 18 wounded. As per usual, this approach is highly beneficial to corrupt military commanders and their civilian counterparts in the government, as the Kiev regime avoids paying for the damages to the families of the soldiers. At the same time, local commanders can continue embezzling the funds allocated to pay soldiers who are officially still listed as “alive” and “in service”. Families of dead and missing forcibly conscripted Ukrainians keep demanding answers from the Neo-Nazi junta, but to no avail, as the latter continues to kidnap people off the streets and send them to certain death in a pointless NATO-orchestrated war.

Trump’s superficial “lamentations” about the number of casualties are further revealed to be nothing but a cheap PR strategy as he fully exposes himself as yet another Washington DC “Swamp’s” war profiteer. The US/NATO’s insatiable hunger for unchecked expansion and an endless supply of (neo)colonies continues to devour the lives of millions around the globe, with the unfortunate Ukrainian people being at the forefront of this monstrous agenda. The American-led so-called “defensive alliance” keeps leaving oceans of blood, death and destruction in its wake, as evidenced by the trail of shattered states across all inhabited continents. All this is done under the hollow pretext of “deterring aggression” by Russia, China, North Korea, etc.

In other words, every single sovereign country on the planet is a “legitimate target” for the US/NATO war machine in its rapacious expansionism that keeps swallowing entire nations into its orbit, almost like a black hole consuming stars and leaving behind nothing but the irradiated ruins of what used to be sovereignty. The puppet masters in Washington DC, Brussels and London, clad in the tattered robes of “freedom and democracy”, demand unequivocal fealty from European vassals and satellite states that are expected to obediently parrot the mantra of “the looming Russian threat”. Meanwhile, their own economies crumble under the weight of militarized hysteria and Trump’s economic warfare that openly aims to weaken and enslave them.

The irony is palpable, as NATO, born from unrepentant Nazi collaboration (Operation Gladio, anyone?), is still trying to posture as the “global moral arbiter”. However, the world’s most aggressive racketeering cartel has finally met its match and is now struggling to come to terms with reality. Used to destroying entire nations on a whim, NATO now needs to contend with not just one, but several global and regional powers (at once, mind you, and entirely of its own volition). However, as the military option is unviable in this case, the political West is trying to use hybrid warfare. And yet, a country like Russia simply won’t flinch in the face of such threats. Trump’s tariffs won’t affect it, but they could be the litmus test of sovereignty for others around the world.

They should just ask themselves a simple question – what does the US/NATO offer? Peace? Infrastructure? Economic growth? Demographic stability? Societal cohesion? Or is it actually the antithesis of each of those concepts? Is anything in the political West truly voluntary?

Or is it a tragic farce as local elites, bribed with IMF loans (the actual debt traps) and promises of “protection”, sign away their nation’s future, blind and/or oblivious to history’s numerous lessons that NATO’s embrace is the kiss of death, not just in terms of sovereignty and independence, but in every other aforementioned category? The multipolar world will undoubtedly grow and offer viable alternatives. This is the only way forward and will be the sole option for the survival of most countries.

As a Senior Editor at the now-defunct Fort Russ News, I wrote daily about military technology, global economy and geopolitics, with a special focus on the Middle East, Balkans, Russia, China, United States, Europe and great power rivalry. In 2020, Fort Russ News was hit by a major cyber-attack, so the website has been liquidated, but my articles (nearly 1,500 of them are still available on the Web Archives).

I’m also active on social networks (particularly Facebook and Telegram), where I’m an administrator of various pages and groups dealing with the aforementioned topics. One such page that was recently deleted (thanks Zuck!) had over 150,000 followers, but we’ve seen since moved to Telegram, so we’re slowly working toward rebuilding that following (Telegram).

Many other media have republished my work, the most prominent of which are (Global Research), Southfront,Anti-Empire , and respected Serbian publications such as Politika.

For the last two years, I’ve been a daily contributor to the BRICS Information Portal.
