North Crimea Canal under renovation

 The northern part of the North Crimean Canal, connecting Crimea to the Dnieper River, was captured by the Russian army. Work began immediately to restore Crimea’s drinking water supply, cut off by the government of Kiev in July 2019.

Built in 1971 by the Soviets, this canal supplied 85% of Crimea’s drinking.
