Iran’s Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia says Iran has already developed comprehensive defense scenarios and operational plans to counter any attempted enemy incursion into the country's territory.

Akraminia said on Tuesday that the Iranian nation would never allow foreign forces to gain a foothold on its territory, adding that contingency plans have been prepared for sparsely populated areas, including certain islands and coastal regions that the US military may seek to infiltrate.

"We have already defined precise defense scenarios and plans," he said. "Through numerous military exercises, we have trained to target these areas and destroy the enemy without even allowing it an initial foothold."

Akraminia warned that any area used by the enemy to launch attacks against Iran would be targeted, even if it were temporarily occupied by hostile forces on Iranian territory.

Last week, US President Donald Trump threatened to escalate the war by targeting Iran's energy infrastructure and bridges and by deploying ground forces to seize Kharg Island, home to one of the country's main oil export terminals.

Akraminia said that armed forces "will respond decisively regardless of where the attacks originate."

Explaining the strategic distinction between standoff warfare and ground combat, Akraminia said the United States relies primarily on advanced technology and military equipment in long-range engagements.

"But if the conflict shifts to the ground, it will become a face-to-face battle. In such circumstances, the enemy's unfamiliarity with the terrain and the loss of its technological advantage will greatly increase its vulnerability," he added.

The spokesman also said "the nation's determination has proven stronger than the enemy's technological advantage," arguing that despite the United States' and Israel's advanced military capabilities, they have so far failed to achieve their objectives.

Iran warns if the US president takes any "uncalculated action" on Iranian soil — "not just on Kharg Island but anywhere in the country" — he will receive a response "that will be recorded in history."

Iran, he said, has spent the past two decades preparing "for a confrontation with the American and Zionist enemy."

"Today, our troops on the battlefield possess the motivation, morale and psychological readiness to carry out their missions at any moment," he added.

He praised the Army's morale and values, saying that "it is this strong faith and conviction among our forces that has elevated their motivation to the highest possible level in safeguarding the nation's independence and dignity."

Earlier this week, Akraminia reiterated that Iran would continue the war until it achieved "full deterrence" to prevent future acts of aggression.

He also warned neighboring Persian Gulf states against supporting the US aggression, saying countries involved in the military campaign against Iran could face consequences in the Strait of Hormuz, which he said remains under the control of Iran's armed forces.
