Anti-inflammatory juice recipe

Ingredients

All recipes are measured by weight.

IngredientWeightNotes

pineapple6.4 oz1 cup chunked pineapple

green apple6.5 oz1 medium apple

spinach1.9 oz2 cups spinach

cucumber1.8 oz1/5 cucumber

celery0.9 oz2/3 medium celery stalk

lemon0.8 oz1/4 medium lemon

ginger0.3 oz1 inch chunk of ginger root

Directions

    • Wash and weigh the produce.
    • Prep the pineapple by removing the green crown and cut into chunks.
    • Peel the lemon using a sharp knife

Pro Tips

  • Leave 2 or 3 chunks of apple for the very end. Apples do a good job at cleaning the grinder and pushing any bits of produce through that didn’t make it through

  • Your cucumbers should be dark green with minimal to no yellow spots – these spots tend to develop once the cucumber becomes overly ripe

  • Juice the cucumber with the peel on if organic (remove if not organic). The peel contains beta-carotene, an important antioxidant that the body converts to Vitamin A.

Equipment note: We used the Goodnature Hummingbird cold press juicer to make the juice for this recipe. We highly recommend this juicer for culinary purposes, as it creates the best tasting, most nutritious juice possible, and can produce it in large batches.

Love this! For some reason I have never used green apples in juicing but this works. I am lazy and don’t measure anything but it is still perfect. Looking forward to trying other recipes.

Can this juice be stored in the fridge and for how long?

Hi Jason,

If you are using a Goodnature juicer, this juice will last about 5 days in the refrigerator. There are a lot of factors that will determine how long a juice will last, like the type of juicer used (method of extraction), how fresh your produce is, etc. You can read more about that here: https://www.goodnature.com/blog/understanding-shelf-life-of-cold-pressed-juice/

Love, LOVE this Anti-Inflammatory Juice. This recipe motivated me (along with the coaching by a good friend) and got me interested in juicing. Mega Thank You!

Welcome to Our World

A place where inspiration does not fall far from the tree. We are a family business with a mission to help other families live healthier lives.

It all started with our dad and his passion

Before we were a company, our dad and founder, Dale was a Rocket Scientist meets Free Thinker. His Aerospace degree came from the University of Toronto, but his love for invention started with repairing cars in his dad’s garage.

After leaving his job engineering military equipment, Dale pursued his passion for positive craftsmanship by creating small juice presses from his cabin in the woods.

Goodnature Story

99 Letters

When several local farmers asked Dale to make juice presses for their orchard, he agreed — provided he received 100 letters in response to an advertisement he placed in the local newspaper. When it was over, we had received 99 letters total, missing the goal by one letter. Dale figured one must have gotten lost in the mail. Goodnature was born.

We grew from there

Many of Dale’s inventions have become industry standard, thanks to his commitment to listening to customers’ needs and passion for constantly improving everything we make and everything we do.
