Air fryer apple pie pockets

It's amazing what you can do with some spring roll wrappers and a can of apple slices. Use your air fryer to create this crunchy finger food dessert in just half an hour. Dip in a thick caramel sauce for extra sweetness.

Allergens: Recipe may contain peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy and sesame.

INGREDIENTS

  • 385g can apple slices pie fruit

  • 40g (1/3 cup) almond meal

  • 80g (4 tbsp) dulche de leche caramel sauce, plus extra, to serve

  • 8 frozen egg roll / spring roll wrappers, defrosted

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 60g butter, melted

  • Vanilla ice-cream, to serve

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Step 1

    Combine pie apple , almond meal and caramel in a bowl.

  • Step 2

    Lay the wrappers on a clean work surface and spoon about 70g of filling onto each wrapper. Brush sides with a little egg . Fold sides over and roll up.

  • Step 3

    Brush tops of 4 apple pockets with a little butter and place, buttered-side down in the basket of an air fryer. Brush with a little more butter and air fry at 200°C for 8 minutes. Repeat to cook 4 remaining apple pockets.

  • Step 4

    Serve with ice-cream and a drizzle of extra caramel sauce.
