Glitch in the Matrix captured by Swiss traffic camera?
In a strange story that sounds like a proverbial glitch in the matrix, a duck was photographed by a Swiss traffic camera seven years to the day after it triggered the device under the exact same circumstances. The weird turn of events came to light last week when the community of Koeniz detailed the uncanny case on social media. Sharing a photo of the 'offending' bird flying past the camera, they explained that it was photographed on April 13th, the seventh anniversary of a similar instance wherein a duck was 'busted' back in 2018. However, that was just one of multiple eerie similarities between the two events.
While the timing was undeniably odd, community leaders did a double-take when they realized the bird was also photographed "at the exact same place at exactly the same speed" as it was seven years ago. Insisting that the peculiar post was not a late April Fool's joke, they indicated that "it is impossible that the image or the radar system has been manipulated." Of course, it is uncertain if the duck seen in the more recent picture was the same bird photographed in 2018, town officials jokingly wondered if the animal was a "repeat offender" while inviting residents to ponder the nature of such "curious coincidences."
