A number of mud brick Roman ovens and a large wall from the Egyptian Late Period have been discovered at the Avenue of Sphinxes in Luxor.

During excavation work carried out at the Avenue of Sphinxes in the Nagaa Abu Asaba area in Luxor, an Egyptian archaeological mission discovered the Roman ovens, which were used to bake clay, and the large wall that once safeguarded the eastern side of the Nile from the flood.

Another wall made of sandstone blocks was also discovered. The wall is 30 meters long, 2.5 meters high and three meters wide.
