If you love mysteries, the Peruvian site known as Ollantaytambo is the right place for you. Exactly how these huge, perfectly shaped stones were cut and manoeuvred has been the cause of much debate. They seem to have been carved straight of a mountainside. Not only that, they appear at the top of another mountain quite some distance away from where they were quarried. Make no mistake, this is a marvel of ancient engineering the likes of which is rarely seen.
