Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Fayssal Mikdad in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel called the U.S. military presence in Syria illegal and unacceptable, as it had been approved by the Syrian government.

According to the diplomat, the U.S.-led international coalition actions in Syria cause numerous victims and destruction of economic infrastructure. Such actions of Washington are in line with terrorists, but doesn’t appropriate for the plans of Syrians.

The Syrian politician also highly appreciated the successful steps of the Syrian army and the break of Deir Ezzor siege, which has been held by terrorists since 2014. The achievements of the government forces earlier in Aleppo and in Deir Ezzor are starting point on the long way for defeating ISIS.
