Yesterday night the Syrian army units backed by the allied forces attacked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham positions, liberating several settlements and strategic heights in the region.

Currently, the village of Jubb Awaz and Tal al-Sheikh hilltop, located in the northern part of the province are totally controlled by the government forces. During the clashes at least 20 HTS terrorists were killed and several units of the military equipment were destroyed.

It also became known, that as a result of the successive steps of the Syrian troops and heave airstrikes of the Russian aviation 25 militants from Sheikh Taha took a decision to lay down weapons and surrender. Having past all the necessary inspections, those who didn’t take part in hostilities would be amnestied.
