Save Our Songlines

Wayiba! We acknowledge the Ngarluma people, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we live and work.

We are Traditional Owners of Murujuga on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia's Pilbara region. We are joining together to stop new industry on the Burrup from damaging our Songlines, our rock art, our health and our climate. We oppose Woodside's Scarborough gas/Pluto Train 2 development and Perdaman's proposed urea plant.

Murujuga is a place of worship.

Our rock art tells our stories; it is our Bible.

We practise and continue to follow our cultural protocols, passing down knowledge of Lore and culture.

As custodians we are entrusted to carry on our traditional customs.

Our Heart Call to Action

  1. Remove gag clauses on Traditional Owners preventing us from speaking out.

  2. Provide independent funding to Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation so it does not have to do deals with Woodside to manage cultural heritage.

  3. Put an immediate pause on the Scarborough gas project until Traditional Owners can be properly consulted and make an informed decisions.
