We're following this case in Samoa - two children died after receiving MMR vaccination. A  nurse has been charged - but it's unclear what she did. From the article,  In this tragic case, vaccinologists say they believe the problem was not in the vaccine itself, but how it was prepared before it was administered.   To be honest, I've no idea what this might mean. Was this a case of poor refrigeration? That's not preparation, per se, it's storage.  It's a single dose live virus vaccine. Did she possibly intentionally harm the children? Or did the vaccine itself really cause the deaths? Were they from the same manufacturing lot? Expired? So many questions. And a real concern for safety. God bless those children and their families, who tried to do "right" by their children and paid the ultimate price.

A senior nurse has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the deaths of two 1-year-olds who died shortly after getting vaccinated in Samoa last month.

Local media reported that the nurse was officially charged on Friday and is due to appear in court tomorrow.

Authorities continue investigations into the deaths of Lannacallystah Samuelu and Lameko Si'u, who died shortly after receiving a measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination at Safotu District Hospital, on the island of Savaii, on July 6.

The manslaughter charge comes after police charged the woman with conspiracy to defeat the course of justice and negligence.
